National Deworming Day 10th February

National Deworming Day is celebrated annually on February 10 to raise awareness of the value of deworming all preschool and school age children between the ages of 1 and 19 years. Deworming is carried out in schools and Anganwadi centres under the direction of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, with the goal of “improving their general health, nutritional condition, access to education, and quality of life.” Deworming boosts immunity in both adults and children, defending them against worm-related chronic disorders. Edu World insists that the importance of deworming day consist of less anaemia and malnutrition, less strain on the healthcare system, and increased school involvement.
